With you, I fear nothing

What anguish the ego makes us feel by conveying the sensation of being incomplete. Following it makes us feel dissatisfied, weak, and mortal. And we are so accustomed to it that we do not even realize that this nightmare we believe we are living is not our true reality as spiritual, loving, and eternal beings. It is a memory hidden in the basement of our mind that the ego has carefully concealed.

And the saddest part of all this is that we created the ego ourselves, giving it the role of guardian of our separation from Source, from God, our beloved Father. A separation that, in essence, never happened. The ego is just a mistaken idea that will have power over us if we decide to follow it.

We will stop suffering when we choose to change teachers: “From now on, I decide to put my life in Jesus' hands so that he may guide me on the path of Love.” Dear friend Jesus, I know you are always by my side. With you, I fear nothing.

I am not my body

I kindly take care of my body so that it may serve me as a vehicle in this earthly experience.

I am aware that I am not my body.

I am the puppeteer who moves the puppet of my body.

Being kind makes us feel good

I came across a blind person at the subway station who was completely lost and wandering around. As it was rush hour, many people were passing by, ignoring her. I approached her and asked, “Can I help you?” She replied, "Thank you very much. This is my first time on the subway, and I can't find the entrance.“ I accompanied them until they got on their train. On the way, they asked me, ”Why did you do this for me?“ and I said, ”I'm the one who should be thanking you for giving me the opportunity to help you.“ Very surprised, they asked me, ”Who are you?“ I replied, ”Just another citizen." I assure you that the feeling of peace and fulfillment I felt when I was able to do something for a stranger without expecting anything in return was indescribable.

According to Dr. David Hamilton, “Kindness alters the brain, dilates the arteries, and lowers blood pressure. It is also an antidote to depression and slows down the seven major processes of aging, even at the cellular level.”

Small acts of kindness that we do every day, such as smiling, giving thanks, or accompanying those who suffer, help us to realize that the meaning of our life is to extend the Love that we are in essence and that deep down we are One in this world of fear, pain, and death.

Being kind makes us feel good.

The Holy Spirit, if you want, accompanies you on the path of Love

Rejoice in realizing how lost you are and don't entertain yourself with the distractions of the world to solve it. This is a great first step because if you keep looking outside yourself, you waste your time.

Nothing external can give you happiness.

The Holy Spirit is a wonderful therapist who is always at your side, attentive to your request for help. When you ask, He kindly takes you by the hand and accompanies you on the long process of transcending the ego.

Choose the Holy Spirit and feel how you are at peace when you place your trust in Him. You will no longer need to think a thousand times about what to do and how to do it in your life because, if you rely on Him, He will accompany you on the path of Love.

Hitting rock bottom is an opportunity

You sought happiness in material possessions, and at first you were happy to have them, but once you got them, you forgot about them. You also sought it in that ideal “soul mate” that we've heard so much about. Relationship after relationship, your desperation grows because none of them fulfill you.

You set your sights on family, and over time you realized that everyone lives their own life and that they count on you when they need you. When you are with your friends, you are sometimes overcome by a feeling of loneliness that you don't dare mention. You traveled to find happiness, but when you reached your destination, you discovered that it wasn't there either.

You achieved your earthly goals, but in time you return to square one and continue to suffer. You contemplate the world and assume that everything is temporary, everything will disappear, and you will also lose your loved ones. Nothing here fully satisfies you. And you ask yourself, what is the meaning of all this for me?

The answer can be found within you. Within you dwells the Love that created you. Within you is the fullness of life. You are a spiritual and eternal being. You have the freedom to be happy because what matters is not what happens to you but how you perceive it. You can always choose to see that situation in a way that brings you peace.

Take advantage of circumstances and relationships, as they are magnificent learning opportunities to clear away the layers you have placed over the Love that you are.

Every thought of love

Every thought of love has effects that you cannot even imagine how far they can reach and the peace they make people feel.

You can choose to be at peace

What good is climbing to the top of a mountain to find peace, in a theoretical ideal setting of tranquility, if inside you feel conflict and suffering? Contact with nature may make you feel better, but it will only be temporary, since nothing external to you can resolve your internal suffering.

In your mind, you can always choose to be at peace.

Who is your brother?

We do not consider someone who has different beliefs, lives in another country, or has a different skin color to be our brother.

We do not consider someone who disagrees with our opinions to be our brother, nor do we consider our “enemies” to be our brothers.

How far we are from living the great teaching of Love, in which, in essence, we are all part of the same indivisible Unity. We are the many faces of an enormous polyhedron whose center is Love. We are the drops in the ocean of consciousness.

What you do to another, you also do to yourself.

I ask you, who is your brother?

No one irritates you

When someone makes a comment, about anything, and it really upsets you, it's because it has brought to the surface a part of your mind that is unhealed and in conflict. You were already feeling bad inside, even though you were unaware of it, and this person appeared, as it could have been anyone else, and with their comment they held up a mirror in which you unconsciously saw your reflection and didn't like what you saw at all.

That person helps you identify your shadow, your inner swamp. No one irritates you; you irritate yourself through that person. You will blame them for what they have said or done, but in reality it is your unconscious guilt that makes you feel bad. Relationships help us to know ourselves internally.

To the extent that you assume that the outside world is a reflection of your inner world, through the psychological mechanism of projection or the law of the mirror, and you forgive yourself for what you see, you will take control of your life. As you heal your inner self, your perception of the world you see will change. In a movie theater, you cannot change the film on the screen (the outside world); you have to change it in the projector (the inner world).

This is the path to peace.

How quickly it becomes too late

We are unaware of how quickly it becomes too late. Time is relative, an invention on this earth. In fact, as Einstein stated, time depends on the state of motion of the observer.

Beyond scientific theories, time as such does not exist, since we live in an eternal present. A here and now. The past is past, and when we remember it, we distort it with stories we invent through the prism of our beliefs. And the future is yet to come. Based on our fears and the past, we project illusory scenarios that will normally never come true.

I propose a little exercise. Notice how quickly the years go by... And now ask yourself this question: Has what I have done in my life led me to greater inner peace, or am I still stuck in the loop of judgment, guilt, and fear?

You still have time to embark on the path to inner peace. It's just a decision.

I am turning 60

Today, May 26, 2021, I turn 60. The beginning of each decade invites me to reflect on what my life has been like and where I set my goals. Looking back, I realize that everything I went through was necessary to achieve my inner state. What happened to me was perfect in timing and form, no matter how difficult and unfair the situations seemed to me at the time.

Like a movie screenwriter, before coming into this world, I designed and planned the major milestones of my life. And in order to experience them, I agreed with the souls of the people I would interact with on their roles in the play. You will be my grandmother, you my father, you my mother, you my partner, you my daughters, you my friends and colleagues... But this information was hidden behind a veil at birth. Just as I don't remember who I was or what I did in previous lives. I think it's for my own good not to be prepared, because if I read the diary of my past lives, I would realize the atrocities I committed and the guilt would crush me like a heavy slab. I also chose the moment and circumstances in which I will leave this world.

I honor and am grateful to the people who have been and continue to be part of my personal and professional life, because thanks to them I have been able to get to know myself better. Everything I perceive on the screen of the outside world, and especially in relationships, is a true reflection of my inner world. If I see hatred, it is my own fault projected from my ego. If I see love, it is the love that dwells within me. Now I know that you have been the mirror in which I have seen myself reflected.

Looking back with perspective, I realize that I did the best I could in each circumstance according to my level of consciousness at the time. Since what I have experienced and felt is in the eternal present, sometimes my ego reminds me of how badly I acted in that situation or what I failed to do in another. With a kind smile, I say to myself: “I forgive myself for projecting my shadow onto others. This movie of the world is not my true home. Father, I know you are always by my side.”

I set my sights on my life's goal, the beacon that guides me: to use the time I have left to peel away the layers I have placed over the Love that I am in essence.

At 60 years old, I feel like just another drop in the ocean of consciousness and Oneness that we are.

Don't try to fix the world

On social media, someone asked: “With the resources we have, can we take in all migrants and give them prospects for the future like any other human being?” My answer was NO. It's impossible. We have a serious lack of information: we lack an overview. It is obvious that this migrant seems to be in a terrible situation... But what if this person really needs to go through this situation to learn something in their life? I know what I am saying sounds strange, especially when you hear it for the first time.

Here's an exercise for you: think of a situation in your life that was “apparently” horrible and see how, after some time, you realized that what you went through was necessary for your learning.

Every situation you experience has a “purpose,” an implicit lesson that is very difficult to see at the time, and perhaps with the passage of time you will discover the real reason for that situation.

Do what you can for others and help them from the heart, but keep in mind that it will be impossible to fix this world of fear, suffering, and death in which, sooner or later, you will lose everything because it is temporary.

Don't try to fix the world. Change the way you see it as the ideal setting to advance on your inner path.

Unhealed wounds from the past

Unhealed wounds from the past, which I unconsciously suffer from in the present, condition my future by continuing to attract situations related to them.

You will suffer until you get tired of suffering

There seem to be many different problems in life. And when you solve some, new ones arise that, on the surface, have nothing to do with the previous ones. It's as if you were sailing in a boat with a leak coming in through a hole you can't see, and you only notice its effects: you're sinking. You bail out the water, and the more that comes in, the faster you bail, without solving the real cause. Thus, you will never solve the problems in your life because you act on the effect (suffering) and not on the cause (unconscious guilt).

The unconscious guilt that you carry “as standard” causes you such suffering that you want to expel it to get rid of it. You create and attract situations to give yourself the opportunity to project it onto others. You think that it is the other person who has made you feel bad when in reality you were already feeling bad before the other person appeared and you have taken advantage of their presence to unload your inner swamp onto them. You will apparently feel better, but that guilt will return to you amplified because deep down you know that you have attacked or judged an innocent person by projecting your own guilt onto them. And in turn, you will feel fear of their possible reaction against you. This is the basic mechanism of guilt feedback that the ego uses to keep you in suffering and fear.

The phrase “the other does not exist” is very striking, and you may ask yourself: how is that possible if I can see them there, right in front of me? What you see is nothing more than the limited information captured by your physical senses and interpreted through the prism of the ego. What you see is distorted by your inner filters. Your perception is an interpretation of what is happening outside.

This first step of recognizing that what you see or feel has only to do with you, as it is your inner state projected like a movie superimposed on the screen of the world, is fundamental to beginning the path of inner healing. You take responsibility for the fact that what causes you to suffer has only to do with you. And in this sense, you will suffer until you tire of suffering.

How can you escape suffering? The solution is very simple, although very difficult to put into practice, since you have spent thousands of lives suffering by following the ego. When you encounter any situation or relationship in which you have judged, criticized, attacked, or felt fear, it is because you have seen it “through the glasses of the ego” due to the unconscious guilt that lurks in the depths of your mind. They say that we usually spend more than 95% of our time wearing the ego's glasses, which is why our suffering is almost continuous.

Considering that in your misguided mind, that of the ego, time does not exist, you continue to suffer, which is the effect of the judgments and attacks you have made in your life. As you begin to become aware, you realize that when faced with a new situation, you judge again. That's okay, it's normal because of your lack of mental training. You thought that way when you wore the glasses of the ego, and now you decide you want to see it differently, with the glasses of Love.  Since you cannot solve the problem from the same level that you created it (ego), you need to rise above the battlefield and ask for help from your essence, your wisest part, your Being, or you can also ask the Holy Spirit or Jesus, since they are all the same: a reflection of the Source or God. Mentally, you can say, "I want to see this in a different way. I surrender it to you", and when the time is right, a new perspective on the situation will come to you through the lens of Love, which will give you peace. This change in perception is called true forgiveness, and it removes fragments of unconscious guilt from your inner swamp.

Suffering has only one cause: unconscious guilt, and only one solution: true forgiveness.

As you practice true forgiveness in the countless situations that arise each day, you will feel more and more peace when you see them through the eyes of Love. You will become less reactive and more compassionate. You will begin to see beyond the physical form, feeling that deep down we are all one United Mind.

True forgiveness helps us understand that the person who acts in an unloving way is under the influence of fear, following their ego, and what they are really crying out for, even if they don't know it, is Love.

Nothing external can make us lose our inner peace if we choose to see it in terms of Love: it is either an extension or a request for Love.

A fulfilling life

If we began to realize that nothing external can give us peace, perhaps we would embark on an inner journey of self-discovery to free ourselves from all the layers we have placed over the Love that we essentially are.

And this process of introspection, in which we transcend the dark layers of the ego, will lead us to enjoy moments of happiness regardless of what is happening outside or within our bodies.

It is only our thoughts that cause us to suffer and also give us peace.

Train your mind to enjoy a full life.

Spreading Love

Doing something for others unconditionally feels good.

Unconditional means from the heart, without expecting anything in return and without anyone knowing.

It is a process of giving in which you share the best of yourself from within, the Love that you are. And at the same time, you mentally connect with that person, not with their suffering, assuming that the other person's problems are ultimately related to you as you become aware of the Oneness that we are in essence.

The person you help gives you the opportunity to spread Love, which is the function of your Being.

The Voice of our Internal GPS

"Father, You are the One Who gave the plan for my salvation to me. You have set the way I am to go, the role to take, and every step in my appointed path. I cannot lose the way. I can but choose to wander off a while, and then return. Your loving Voice will always call me back, and guide my feet aright(Lesson 324 of A Course in Miracles).

I believe that just as a GPS navigator shows us the shortest route to our destination, and if we stray it does not “get angry,” the same is true of our beloved Father, who kindly shows us the way to Love. And He does so without forcing us, because He respects our free will. He waits patiently for us and knows that, sooner or later, we will follow the path of inner awakening that gives us peace.
