I had a dream

I dreamed that everyone minded their own business, without criticizing or judging others.

I also dreamed that people longed to share. They shared their material possessions, their knowledge, and their skills. In this way, everyone contributed their best, enriching others and themselves. There was no poverty.

It was a society in which there were no regions, countries, or borders. We were all citizens of the world, regardless of race or beliefs.

To choose our leaders, we sought out those who were most honest, upright, balanced, and wise. The responsibility and commitment of those chosen was great, as they put their lives at the service of the common good.

Children were educated emotionally in schools. They were taught that the meaning of life is to share and serve.

It was a society in which growing older was synonymous with wisdom and respect. There was no loneliness among the elderly.

It was a society based on love, which is the essence of each and every one of its members.

When I woke up, I realized that we are not so far from this. It would be enough for each of us to do our bit, and that would lead to global change.
